Other Requirements:A one-hour HIV-AIDS course approved by the KY Cabinet for Health and Family Services will be required of all optometrists for 2010 license renewal.The HIV-AIDS course is required for 2010 license renewal and will not be required for 10 years thereafter. Kentucky accepts COPE courses but only if they are sponsored by a state, regional (multi-state) or national optometric association, accredited school of optometry or accredited school of medicine.
