to Add a Course
First,
register your optometry organization. When you register, you may
upload your entire course list if desired (Excel format is preferred), or
you may enter each conference or course individually as follows.
1. Conference
or Course Name: Please enter the full name of the event or class. For
conferences, please include the acronym or full name of the organization
sponsoring the event., e.g., "The Illinois Optometric Association
Optometric Preview"
2. Organization:
Enter
the name of the CE provider, optometry organization, school or company
administering the CE.
3. Start
Date: Required.
4. End
Date: Optional, mainly for multi-day conferences.
5. CE
Hours: Optional, but highly preferred. If a conference, you may enter a
range, or the maximum possible.
6. Cost:
Optional,
if free, please put $0.
7. Check
here if FREE: This makes your course appear in the "FREE CE"
searches.
8. COPE
Credit: If unselected, the course will appear on the Non-COPE page and
searches.
9. Type:
Select
conference, course, online or travel. "Online" includes any form of
independent study.
For
conferences: Make one entry and select "conference," then, if
desired, you may make additional entries for each class and select
"course" for the type. Or, you may put course details in the
description.
10. Specialty:
Most
courses will be "General," otherwise, select the appropriate
specialty. If you need an additional specialty added, please contact us.
11. Course
Description: Put all the details you wish here. Presenters, detailed
course explanations, recreation options, reduced hotel rates, etc.
12. Website:
Preferably
the information and/or registration site for the conference or course, if
unavailable, the website for the sponsoring organization.
13. Phone:
Contact
number for questions and/or registration.
14. Street
Address, City & Zip: All optional, zip preferred for non-online courses
15. State:
Please
enter whenever possible, even if your course is online so your course will
appear in state-specific searches in your area.
16. Upload
photo: This free feature can enhance and call attention to your course.
17. Feature
this course: If checked, your conference or course will be featured first in
every search in which it appears. You will be sent an electronic,
one-time invoice of $25 for each course.
