Self-study courses, audio-visual presentations and other mechanisms of self-instruction do NOT qualify for the purpose of fulfilling the continuing education requirements. Continuing education is not granted for serving as the instructor of educational or continuing education course. Those Optometrist engaged in the use of ocular agents are required to complete, within the 14 clock hours, a minimum of 4 hours in pathology detection and a minimum of 4 hours in treatment as it applies to the use of ocular agents.
